Forty Six powerful improvised explosive devices (IED), which were planted to harm security forces, were recovered in Garhwa district, police said on Thursday.
Based on a tip-off, CRPF and police personnel launched a search operation near Budha Pahad area on a pathway in between Kulhi – Bahera village under Bhandariya police station limit around 100 Km away from district headquarter and 300 Km far from Ranchi and seized 46 IEDs planted in series, on Wednesday.
“The explosives, which have been diffused, and destroyed were planted to target security forces,” said Garhwa SP Khotre Srikant Suresh Rao.
“46 IED bombs were planted in a 150 meter radius, which were recovered by our BDDS team and destroyed successfully,” said CRPF Commandant Ashish Kumar Jha.
