Manipur police on Monday recovered a claymore IED allegedly RPF/PLA was planning to trigger at a place in Imphal with the arrest of three overground workers including a woman of the armed outfit.
Other items recovered along with IED were one remote control, one transmitter, two 9 volt batteries, eight 1.5 volt batteries connecting in series, one detonator, one 9mm ammunition and one mobile handset, the police said. The items were recovered during a raid at the store room of an NRL oil pump in Imphal’s Khurai Telepati today in a follow up action to the arrest of two persons including a woman who returned from border town Moreh in a Maruti van, Imphal West SP K Meghachandra said.
