When Explosive Ordnance Disposal Airmen returned from operations in the U.S. Central Command theater, their after-action reports described a changing fight: attacks on the installation itself, at a pace and scale the career field hadn’t seen in decades.
In roughly five weeks, the Civil Engineer enterprise turned those lessons into Multi-Domain Airmen for Modern Battlefield Applications, or MAMBA — a three-week pre-deployment course tailored for EOD Airmen and built around recent operational experience.
