Government of Japan commits over $500,000 to MAG Vietnam


A new grant agreement worth $503,597 USD (equivalent to VND 12.5 billion) was signed today between the Government of Japan, represented by His Excellency Ambassador ITO Naoki, and MAG Vietnam to support mine action efforts in Quang Binh province.

Since 2015, funding from Japan has enabled MAG to clear over 25 km² of contaminated land, respond to more than 7,000 reports of explosive ordnance found by local communities, and safely destroy over 30,000 dangerous items. Thanks to these efforts, more than 137,000 people have been able to live, farm, and build a safer future.
