Police were investigating an explosion that occurred in the early hours of Thursday at a woman’s home in Strovolos. The explosion at the 65-year-old’s home happened shortly before 1am, with initial investigations suggesting the cause was a “high powered explosive device,” police said.
The woman, who was inside the house at the time of the explosion, did not suffer any injuries, while the explosion caused damage to the house’s main entrance, and to walls. The scene is under guard and the investigation by the Nicosia CID is ongoing.
