Colombia: Three dissidents dead and two police officers injured after bomb attack in Guapi, Cauca


A strong explosion in Guapi, Cauca, which was part of an attack by FARC dissidents against the police station, left three dissidents dead, two policemen injured and a part of the center of the municipality destroyed.

According to the first versions of what happened, at approximately 5:10 a.m. several FARC dissidents harassed the police station in this town with rifle bursts. “The version we have is that the explosives exploded in the middle of the attack when they tried to locate it near the uniformed officers, hence three of them died on the spot, a frightening situation, because they were disintegrated,” said police officers who work in this municipality.
