Colombia: Sok, the explosive detection trained dog that prevented attacks in Neiva, department of Huila

Under pressure of the Military Forces, the perpetrators abandoned a cloth bag containing four explosive devices, each weighing approximately one kilogram, in a wooded area.

The troops moved to the place, and following the security protocols, the Sok on a thorough tour of the area made the positive signal that confirmed the presence of explosive material. Subsequently, the intervention of the anti-explosive group of the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the Metropolitan Police of Neiva was necessary, who carried out a controlled detonation. Each device had a destructive range of up to 20 meters around, which make visible the seriousness of the criminal intention. This action represents a flagrant violation of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
