Ly Thuch, Senior Minister and First Vice-President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), asked the recently appointed UNDP Representative to Cambodia Alissar Chakar to continue support and provide additional resources for Cambodia’s demining efforts.
Thuch requested the assistance when he met Chaker during a courtesy call at the CMAA headquarters, where they discussed cooperation in mine action in Cambodia.
He thanked UNDP for supporting development in Cambodia, including mine clearance since 2006 through the Clearing for Results project. Phase IV of the project is underway.
