More than 100 bombing incidents have happened so far this year, according to the latest police statistics, which is more than the whole of last year. The explosives industry wants tougher regulations around who is allowed to handle explosives, similar to the regulations around firearms.
Dynamite is the most common explosive used by criminals, according to the police’s national bomb squad.
