British Columbia: Second device discovered in Aberdeen confirmed to be pipe bomb


The Kamloops RCMP is warning residents to be vigilant following the confirmation that a second device found yesterday was pipe bomb containing explosives.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU) confirmed the device reported and disposed of on July 5, in the 2100-block of Sifton Avenue in Aberdeen, was a pipe bomb. That device’s discovery came just one day after another pipe bomb was discovered in the 900-block of Greystone Crescent on July 3.
