Afghanistan: One Security Force Member Killed, Four Wounded in Kabul Blast


One security force member was killed and four more were wounded in an IED explosion that targeted an army vehicle in Qarabagh district in Kabul on Monday morning, police said in a statement.

The incident happened at around 7:00 am local time in Sabz Sang village in Qarabagh district, police said.

“Another mine was seized and defused by the security forces team,” police said

Kabul police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz said today that security forces discovered and defused a magnetic mine planted in front of a house in the Karte Seh area of the sixth security district.

In another incident, police prevented a mine from exploding on the Kabul-Bagram road in the 16th District.
