An improvised explosive device targeting a private TV channel van killed two people in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday, an official confirmed.
Nusrat Rahimi, Interior Ministry spokesman, told Anadolu Agency the van was blown up by a magnetic IED attached to it, killing the driver and a passerby and injuring three people, including two staffers of the private station.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Two months ago, the Taliban warned all media outlets to avoid airing or publishing “propaganda” against their fighters.
