Just after midnight on Tuesday 19 January, an explosion was reported in Bauhinia Drive, Parafield Gardens. The front window of the house shattered but there were no reported injuries to the six occupants.
Crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene and the remnants of the homemade device.
Although the investigation is in its early stages, police do not believe it was a random incident.
