At least four police personnel were killed and 12 others, including some policemen, wounded in a blast near a mosque in the Satellite Town area of the provincial capital Monday night.
The explosion was carried out through an improvised explosive device planted in a motorcycle parked on the roadside, Express Tribune quoting police said.
According to sources, a police vehicle deputed outside a mosque was also damaged in the blast.
The injured, which included both civilians and security officials, were shifted to a nearby hospital.
