A child in Yemen was killed or injured by explosives every two days in 2022, new research has found, as the country enters its ninth consecutive year of conflict.

Yemen is littered with landmines and unexploded ordinance such as mortars, rockets and artillery shells following years of devastating conflict. Some children have stepped on the explosives while at school, out playing or fetching firewood for their families, according to a new report from Save the Children, and the number of child victims is on the rise.
