Wyoming: Scan of pressure cooker on Casper sidewalk suggested bomb parts


The Casper Police Department says that an initial X-ray scan of a suspicious object left on a Paradise Valley sidewalk on Monday morning revealed “internal components that were consistent with materials used in improvised explosive devices.”

Further investigation “did not confirm the presence of any explosive materials,” the Tuesday release from the CPD said. “Investigators did, however, discover materials associated with illegal drug use inside the device.” Police are still investigating the incident, and channels for tips are included at the end of this article.
