Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of terrorism offences following a raid on an address in west London.
He was originally taken into custody on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm and cultivating cannabis after officers found what was believed to be a weapon and a number of plants at the property.
Further searches revealed items “containing an unknown substance”.
Specialists were sent to the scene as a precaution and Metropolitan Police said the items will be sent for “urgent analysis” to determine what they contain.
