Washington: Man loses arm, 6-year-old girl hurt in homemade bomb explosion in Port Hadlock

A Port Hadlock man lost an arm and a 6-year-old girl sustained head injuries in an explosion Tuesday night in Port Hadlock, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives called to the scene of multiple explosions in the 700 block of Nesses Corner Road also found evidence of manufacturing explosives, including handmade pipe bombs and improvised devices.

The bombs and other material were found in an outbuilding on the property.
