A wartime bomb weighing more than 220kg has been safely defused by the Military Command of Da Nang city after being discovered in Tra Tan commune on October 2.
Local residents found the bomb while planting trees and promptly reported it to local authorities, the commune’s Military Command, and relevant units. A bomb disposal team was dispatched to the site to survey the device, assess its type and level of danger, and take safety measures.
