UK: Suspected grenade in Salisbury destroyed in controlled explosion


A suspected grenade which was found near Kivel Court in Salisbury on Monday (March 6) has been destroyed in a controlled explosion, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police has confirmed. The device was found shortly before 2pm just off Churchill Way.

A cordon was set up near the location of the device and locals were asked to ‘avoid the area’. Reports at the time said: “Heavy traffic due to security alert and police incident on A36 Churchill Way West near Kivel Court. Cordon in place.”
