UK: Counter-terror police raid ex-councillor’s Stoke-on-Trent home after he ‘buys chemicals for rocket drone’


Counter-terrorism police raided a former councillor’s house – after he bought potentially explosive chemicals for his own experimental rocket drone.

Officers carried out a nine-hour search of Richard Broughan’s home in Milton, following his purchase of ‘explosives precursors’ over the internet.

Mr Broughan says the chemicals are legal and that they were bought innocently in connection to a drone project he was working on at home.
