A bomb squad today swooped on a Norfolk beach after an ‘unexploded device’ was found in a car park.
The device was found at the beach car park at Horsey Gap, near Horsey, north of Great Yarmouth, earlier today.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team today assessed the item, which they now believe to be an old mortar shell.
The item was not deemed to be live, according to Norfolk Police. It was taken away to be disposed of by the EOD team.
