Tunisia: IED explodes in Kasserine governorate wounding teenager


A 15-year old teenager has been wounded in the explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Kasserine, a restive governorate used as a hideout by terrorists, in Tunisia.

Abdelghani Chaabani, regional director of health in the governorate, confirmed Sunday December 17 the incident to Mosaïque Fm, in a statement to the media. The explosion Chaabani added took place on Selloum Mountain, south of the region. The teenager, according to the medical official, was wounded in the explosion while harvesting “alfa” on the mountain with his mother.
