Officers in Paris responded to a scene of sparks raining down from overhead electrical lines at a vacant lot after an explosion was heard Thursday morning.
According to Paris Police, officers were patrolling the 600 block of East Houston Street at around 1 a.m. when they heard an explosion. The officers located fragments of what they identified as an improvised explosive device (IED) in the area of a vacant lot. Police say no one was injured in the incident, and no property damage was noted.
