Multiple guns and improvised explosive devices were found in a suspicious van in a White Settlement neighborhood Tuesday morning, police said. According to the White Settlement Police Department, officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 9200 block of Jason Lane at about 5:29 a.m.
Upon arrival, police said officers found a van with an adult man in the driver’s seat. While approaching the van, officers saw that the man had a handgun in his lap, according to police. Police said officers then saw what they thought was an improvised explosive device on the front passenger seat and a second device in the back of the van. Fort Worth Police and Fire Departments and the Bomb Squad arrived at the scene and confirmed that the two devices were explosives.
