Stamford, Connecticut — A city teen was charged with manufacturing bombs Friday in connection with his alleged sale of illegal fireworks through social media, and authorities are warning anyone who bought them that they could cause “serious physical injury,” according to police.
The Stamford Police Bomb Squad and the Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit, along with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, launched an investigation last week into the sale of improvised explosive devices — IEDs — being sold on Facebook Marketplace in Stamford.
