The suspect was detained by officers from the Policia Nacional following an investigation into his alleged links to ISIS ideology and extremist propaganda. He is suspected of alleged membership of a terrorist group, glorification of terrorism, self-training, self-indoctrination and the indoctrination of others.
During the operation, police seized large amounts of jihadist propaganda material along with several electronic devices that are still being examined by specialists.
