Authorities evacuated a mobile home park July 14 after a dog dug up unexploded military ordnance in its owner’s backyard.
North Charleston police officers were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. to a house on Remount Road near North Rhett Avenue after a resident reported the discovery, according to an incident report.
A 300-foot perimeter set up around the house forced residents of a nearby mobile home park to evacuate as the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad rushed to the scene, authorities said.
