Six people wounded in blast in southern Somali town of Qoryoley


At least six people have been injured after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted in an NGO-run centre in the southern Somalia town of Qoryoley.

According to locals in the town, the IED exploded as the NGO staffers were providing farming seeds and other assistance to the farmers in the town. The victims were rushed to the town’s hospital for treatment.

Security forces in the town have launched operations to hunt down the perpetrators of the attack.
