Seven Children Killed In A Taliban Explosion In Faryab: Officials

At least seven children were killed and five others were wounded in an IED explosion in Faryab province on Friday, local officials said Saturday.

Ghulam Ali CID director for Sherentagab district police headquarters said the incident occurred in an area which fell to the Taliban last week – in Koh Sayyad of Sherentagab district.

Ali said that Taliban had placed an IED in Koh Sayyadarea and eleven children playing in the area were hit.
