Roads closed after World War Two bomb found near River Thames


An unexploded bomb from World War II has been found by a team building a new sewer under the River Thames.

Chelsea Embankment is closed after the device was discovered by engineers working on the Tideway Project site this morning.

The street was cordoned off between Chelsea Bridge and Royal Hospital Road as emergency services headed to the scene.

The Met Police said no evacuations were needed.
