Pakistan: PICSS report shows drop in militant attacks during March 2020


An independent think tank in Islamabad on Wednesday issued a security report stating that the intensity in militant attacks has significantly fallen down in March 2020.

Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) has stated in its monthly security report that the number of casualties in militant activities decreased by 64 percent and injuries decreased by 15 percent compared with February 2020, across the country.

PICSS has observed a total nine militant attacks during March 2020, in which eight people were killed including five security forces personnel and three civilians. While total 24 people got injured including nine security forces personnel and 15 civilians. Majority of attacks were done through Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
