Pakistan: Lieutenant among three soldiers killed in IED blast in North Waziristan


Three soldiers including a Lieutenant of Pakistan Army were martyred and three others sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in North Waziristan on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the blast took place when an IED planted along the road by militants went off near a security forces vehicle.

The martyred were identified as Lieutenant Nasir Hussain, Naik Muhammad Imran and Sepoy Usman Akhtar. The injured have been shifted to hospital for medical assistance, the army s media wing said.
