A Troy, Ohio man pleaded guilty on Nov. 21 to possessing multiple “unregistered destructive devices,” according to the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Ohio. Steven J. Werling, 54, admitted last week that he knowingly possessed “improvised explosives devices” in April of this year.
The devices were stored at his home on Barnhart Road in Troy. Federal investigators also discovered that Werling had previously researched and made purchases relating to homemade explosive devices.
