The Nigerian Army says troops have killed six terrorists in Igboro Forest, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State.
Troops of Operation UDO KA are said to have successfully raided the camp of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), on Saturday. The Nigerian Army said the operation became imperative to apprehend the perpetrators of the attack on its troops in Aba last week. It said some improvised explosive devices were discovered along its axis of advance, and one soldier sustained minor shrapnel injuries.
