Nigeria: Troops Foil Terror Attack, Recover Arms, Arrest Suspect in Borno


Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have foiled a planned terrorist attack and recovered arms and ammunition during ongoing counter-insurgency operations under Operation DESERT SANITY/VIGILANT SIEGE in the North-East.

The military disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by the Media Information Officer of Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba.

According to the statement, troops uncovered an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along a route behind the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp near a military location in Ladari.
