Nigeria: Four soldiers killed in suspected ISWAP attack in Borno


Four soldiers have been killed in an attack by suspected ISWAP terrorists on security installations in Auno community, Konduga LGA of Borno state. TheCable understands that the incident occurred on February 5 at approximately 11pm.

The assailants were said to have simultaneously targeted military forward operating bases (FOB), the police crack squad, and rapid response squad (RRS) bases, while sporadically firing into the compounds. According to military sources, the attackers planted an improvised explosive device (IED) along the road to prevent reinforcements.
