A woman was arrested after Mississippi authorities say they found a homemade explosive device in a suspicious package.
Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Christina Laureen Willis, 27, of Batesville. Willis is being charged with attempted murder, and with planting or placing a bomb or explosive, or weapon of mass destruction. The LCSO with the assistance of the Tupelo Bomb Squad and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) reported that the package contained a homemade explosive device.
