Lithuanian authorities are investigating a possible drone crash after an explosion was reported overnight in the Varėna district near the village of Lavysas.
According to the Lithuanian Armed Forces, preliminary information suggests that an unidentified object, possibly a drone, crossed into Lithuanian airspace overnight and crashed in the area. Video footage obtained by LRT captures the sound of a flying object, though it is not visible in the night sky. Seconds later, an explosion is heard, followed by flames lighting up the horizon and burning debris falling to the ground.
