One Kenya Defence Forces soldier has been killed while four others injured at the Mlima Faru area in Lamu county.
The soldier was killed after their vehicle drove over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
This comes after two people were December 28 shot and killed by suspected al Shabaab terrorists who had disguised as Kenyan military and erected an illegal roadblock in the Witu area, Lamu.
