The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have stepped up efforts to secure the country following increasing cases of Al-Shabaab, with top Generals now visiting various formations to motivate them in the fight against the group which has in the recent weeks infiltrated northeaster and North coast.
The multi-agency security teams have been coming though Boni Forest, a serious Al-Sahbaab hot spot due to Proximity to Somalia through Ras Kamboni. Early this week, three soldiers were killed after an IED explosion as they rushed to rescue GSU troops who had been ambushed.
