Kenya: 3 police officers killed in roadside blast in Garissa


At least three police officers were killed and eight others wounded when their vehicle ran over an improvised explosive device on Monday in Garissa County in northeastern Kenya, according to the police.

After the explosion, the al-Shabab militants ambushed the officers, the police said in a security report. People who were injured in the attack were sent to hospital in Garissa. The terrorists managed to flee the scene. This was the second attack targeting security forces in the region in a week.
