The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says it found a homemade pipe bomb that was set up for a delayed explosion.
The bomb was safely dismantled, but Chief Deputy Brian Pontius warned there could be others.
“We have no way to guarantee that” this will be the only bomb, Pontius said. “It’s why we’re asking people to stay alert, and if they see something, report it and don’t touch it.”
