The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday destroyed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) through a controlled mechanism at Selfie Morh near Ban Toll Plaza along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
Following specific input that an IED has been planted near Selfie Point, the movement of vehicular traffic was stopped as a precautionary measure and a search was undertaken by SHO Nagrota, police officials said. The Bomb Disposal Squad was called which destroyed the said IED on the spot through controlled explosions, they added.
