At around 6:00 this morning, an improvised explosive device (IED) placed at the side of the road near the Megiddo junction exploded, seriously injuring Sharaf al-Din, a 21-year-old resident of Salem.
The IED was placed along Route 65 and exploded as al-Din drove by. Another vehicle was also damaged, but no one else was hurt.
