Iraq’s Security Media Cell said on Saturday (November 21) that three people were killed and five others were wounded in an attack and ambush launched by Islamic State (ISIS) militants in Saladin’s al-Baiji district.
An improvised explosive device (IED) went off on Zawiya Mashaq road in the district that targeted a civilian Toyota vehicle, according to the federal security media.
A police force from Mashaq Police Station and a detachment from Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) rushed to the venue to evacuate the wounded, but came under attack by unidentified snipers.
