A Dubuque man has been arrested after police said they found drugs and an improvised explosive device in his vehicle. In a criminal complaint, police said they saw 32-year-old Timothy Gremmel driving around at 5:47 p.m. on Aug. 20, and they knew there was an active arrest warrant out for Gremmel for a parole violation.
When officers made contact with Gremmel, they said he had parked in the Super Stop 3 parking lot at 2360 Central Avenue and was digging around in the back seat of the vehicle. Officials said Gremmel is a habitual offender, barred from driving in Iowa from March 2021 to March 2025.
