The ultras of banned outfit CPI (Maoists) made their presence felt by triggering an IED blast injuring one CRPF jawan. An IED exploded while he along with his fellow troopers were carrying out an anti-insurgency operation under the Tonto police station area in West Singhbhum district on Saturday morning.
The injured, who is a CoBRA jawan, Prabhakar Sahani (31), was airlifted to RIMS from Rengda jungle in West Singhbhum’s Tonto police station area where the explosion was triggered.
The jawan has been admitted to Bhagwan Mahavir Medica Superspecialty Hospital, after he was airlifted from the spot, informed that currently, his condition is stable.
