IED expert JeM comader killed in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district


Security forces today killed a top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) expert in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district when he was trying to ex-filitrate.
A joint operation was launched by Army’s 6 JAKLI regiment, SOG and 53 Batallion of CRPF at Bujthalan Boniyar area of Uri last night after inputs presence of the militant in the area.
During searches, the militant fired upon the search party which was retaliated, leading to an encounter. One militant was killed and his body was retrieved from the site of encounter.

“From the incriminating material recovered from the site of the gunfight, the slain militant has been identified as a foreigner from Pakistan and is believed to be from JeM outfit,” a police spokesman said.
