Finland concludes ISIS operation in Iraq


The Finnish Defence Forces’ (FDF) participation in the operation against Isis in Iraq has come to an end, the FDF said in a press release.

The Finnish Crisis Management Force had about 70 soldiers at the end of the operation and the contingent returned to Finland on Sunday. “I would like to thank the soldiers who have participated in the operation over the years. The work you have done in challenging conditions has been fruitful and appreciated,” said Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Lieutenant General Kari Nisula.
